Some rough footage of our garden as it's growing. We are now harvesting kale and peas on a daily basis! yahoo. It's soo nice to have such fresh produce at our fingers. And to hear my kids say, "Can we go to the garden. I want some peas." Yes, we can!
One of the most frequently asked questions I get is on the subject of travel tips. I usually draw a bit of a blank since I really am a minimalist travel. So, I've decided to open this up to all of you. If you have a great travel tip whether it be related to family travel or solo, domestic or international, let's hear your best tips.
I will choose a random person each week to win a DVD of their choice for just giving us your best tip.
Please do not reply to this post, but click on the tab in the menu that says 'travel tips.' That way they're all in one place that everyone can easily view and have access to. Thanks!!
First off, I fixed a correction from the waterfall post. I wrote that we saw 2 waterfalls! Wow. Talk about a funny place for a typo! It was actually 23 waterfalls that we counted! I mean this is Kauai. How impressive would two be? hahaha...
So, this river that we are now living on. It changes literally on a daily basis. One day high, the next day low, sometimes as green as the foliage it's reflecting and other times more brown after the rains. Sometimes wide, sometimes narrow. Each morning we wake up to see what the river is up to. But it always makes for a lovely highway to the top of itself. I'm too chicken to take my camera on the kayak so all my photos are from the same spot on the side. But let me just say that each time, I feel like the scenery takes my breath away.
Yesterday on the way to the market we counted 23 waterfalls! We've been having a good amount of rain here so the falls are flowing. I cannot say how much I love counting waterfalls rather than license plates from out of state while sitting on the freeway. ahhhh....
And just a reminder that we only have two days left on our 50% off the whole set of dvds sale! Hurry and tell a friend.
And thank all of you that have purchased Germany so far! We really do appreciate it!
Yes, it is finally so! Thank all of you that have been patiently waiting and writing to me to find out WHEN! The answer is NOW! yeah.
I'm also very happy to announce a special 4 day sale on the entire series so far of all 5 dvds. Many of you express the desire for a discount for repeat customers. And as much as I would like to oblige, contracts with other vendors online prohibit me from underselling them. But I have come up with a way to get around that finally. And that is by offering a discount on the whole set. So, for 4 days only and before Germany goes up on Amazon, I'm offering the whole 5 DVD set for 50% off! That's $49.95 for all 5 DVDs. So, if you're needing another one in the series or want some on hand for gifts- at a great price - now is the time! Sale ends midnight Thursday.
Thank you all again for your continued support! I really do appreciate it!
Join The Little Travelers along with their three cousins as they explore Germany. They first spend a few months in the ultra-modern city of Berlin that has the most beautiful parks any of us have ever laid eyes upon! And then we head off to the fairy tale road to see the real Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel's castles. We end our adventures meeting lots of great uncles, aunts and second cousins and see the place where Oma and Opa grew up. So much fun. We're sure you'll love Germany as much as we did.
Our garden continues to grow and is really starting to look like a garden! We've started picking baby lettuces and our neighbor's green beans are going crazy so we've been eating a lot of beans!
And let me just say that we have a pot scrubber in the shower to get this red dirt off our feet! The toenails are starting to take on a permanent stain but it does feel oh, so good to garden barefoot!
