This past weekend was the first sub-100 degree weekend of the year. It was just like the first day of spring in colder climates. After months of being indoors tons of people were once again outside during the day. We went to a park to ride scooters and climb trees- a much needed activity!
This child is particularly graceful in trees. eh hum.
We don't have any climbing trees in our yard right now and that's a HUGE change for them. They used to spend hours in our tree every day so it was nice to finally make some new tree friends here.
We were making our way around this manmade 'lake' and saw quite a few people fishing and thought, "Ok, maybe they stock the lake with little minnows or something," when we spot this guy reeling in really hard. So we waited and this is what he pulled out!!! We were all a bit freaked out when we got a look at it. It was a huge carp! I was trying to imagine being in a Japanese garden and people fishing the koi... It was a strange image to say the least. They did catch and release.
