This is the most common meal here in Germany, so we thought we'd try it. We're way behind on our 52 weeks- so we need to catch up! We didn't make the Brats from scratch, we bought them uncooked from a meatshop and just had to fry them. But we did fry the potatoes. The potatoes are much more yellow here than the ones we have at home. They also taste like they have butter already on them even when they're just boiled. We ate them with curry ketchup, which is the most popular kind of ketchup here.
